Freelancing is one of the easiest ways to earn an income doing something you love and there are so many great tools to help you. My name is Brooke Seidel and I am freelance digital marketer helping other online business owners gain a presence online. Some of my previous clients have included Vionic Shoes, Bacon’s Heir, and other companies online. I’ve even been able to help write blog articles for businesses like His and Hers on different topics such as about romance, couples, and personal wellness.
In this blog post, I am sharing some of my best tools I use to freelance to help run my business and to help my clients. If you’re interested in receiving more tips about digital marketing and freelancing, join my email list to receive future notifications using the button at the end of this article.
My first tool that I love using is Upwork. Upwork is a great platform that has helped me connect with a lot of good people and clients and is what helped me build my portfolio from the ground up. I’ve been able to work with clients whom are coaches and independents, e-commerce businesses, service-based businesses, and more.
My second tool that I love using is Honeybook. Honeybook is a great CRM tool to help you manage your clientele if you need help with organization and overall client management. This has been helpful with sending out contracts and managing weekly payments with my clients.
My third tool that I love using is Google Sheets. Google Sheets is a great tool I use to communicate with my clients when creating documents for different projects and it gives us access to both edit the content and add comments.
My fourth tool that I love using is Google Documents. Google Documents is a great tool I use to communicate with my clients when creating documents for different projects and it gives us access to both edit the content and add comments.
My fifth tool that I love using is Google Drive. Google Drive is a great tool I use to communicate with my clients when sharing documents such as photography and graphics for different projects and it gives us access to both download the files without a bunch of emails back and forth.
My sixth tool I love using is Canva. Canva is a great tool I use to design graphics and animations and it is also easy to share between you and your clients, in case your client don’t have access to Adobe to view content.
My seventh tool I love using is Later for social media scheduling. Social media posting takes a lot of time and sometimes, scheduling it can help you ensure your posts are going out on time. This is a free tool, which is great for you if you need help with managing everything for your freelance company.
My eighth tool I love using is FloDesk for email marketing. Growing my email list and keeping my clients updated is always important. I like FloDesk for their design capabilities and it is extremely easy to navigate. Some other email marketing platforms I have found harder to navigate without proper training.
My ninth tool I love using is Adobe! Adobe is great for helping with more graphics if you need help doing editing images, designing logos or graphics for digital marketing materials, designing email newsletters, and more. There is a lot of good information on YouTube to help you with understanding how to use it better if you need help.
My tenth tool I love using is ShowIt and WordPress. This is a great website provider and they also include a WordPress blog to help you with your blogging and website SEO. There are good templates with creative designs to help you with creating an approachable website.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
